Bio

I started skiing when I was 3 years old, and at the age of 8, I switched to snowboarding. After about 2 years, I competed in my first races and was already able to achieve some early successes. From then on, I knew it was the right path for me. At the age of 14, I joined the regional squad, which became the springboard for me to enter the national team.

In the beginning, I still competed in alpine races (giant slalom and slalom) and snowboard cross, but after my first year on the national team, I decided to focus on just one discipline. Since I was working on the side, it wasn’t always easy to balance everything during that time.

I gained my first World Cup experience at the age of 16, but it took another 10 years until I reached my first podium finish.

From then on, I was able to consistently finish within the top 15 in the overall World Cup standings each year. However, my greatest successes came only after I turned 30. During the Olympic season, I celebrated two podium finishes, and the following season, I achieved my first World Cup victory and won my first World Championship medal. Additionally, in the two previous years (2017, 2018), I won the Team Overall World Cup together with Omar Visintin.

In the 2020/21 season, I unfortunately suffered a serious injury during training in January 2021 (tibial plateau fracture). After four surgeries and more than a year of physiotherapy, I unfortunately had to undergo a total knee replacement in April 2022.

As an athlete, I know that giving up is never an option, so I immediately began physiotherapy again—mainly to be able to lead a normal life.

In October 2022, I was introduced to Para Snowboarding through some acquaintances. Although I initially thought that my prosthesis wouldn’t be sufficient, in November I was classified in the Lower Limb 2 category. That meant I was back in snowboarding! Despite starting directly with competitions without proper training, I had a truly dream season (as you can see from the results), which ended in March with four World Championship medals—2 gold and 2 silver.

Now I finished my third season in Para Snowboarding with stunning results. This last season I won again all three Crystal Globes and two gold medals at the World Championships in Big White Canada
